As promised, here are the resources that came up during our Meaningful Streams of Income(tm) call last Tuesday, January 15th. There are many choices out there (with good and bad features) so do your research and of course, choose the best solutions for you. Enjoy.
Blogging:
- TypePad - Blog hosting company. Simple to setup and use. Fee-based versus other free options like Blogger and WordPress, yet the hosting is handled for you and the user-interface is friendly and intuitive. If you plan to host several blogs, their professional level is a good choice. Create Your Blog Today at TypePad.
- Blog Wild by Andy Wibbels - www.andywibbels.com - This book on blogging by a blogging mastermind is a fast, straight-forward read. It has easy-to-use information that helped me to understand why and how to launch a blog. Great little book that I used as my blog resource guide. Saved me lots of learning time by explaining how to setup, change, publicize, and maintain a blog.
Conference Call Services:
You'll need a conference line or bridgeline service to run your teleclasses (and to record your first audio product...hint...hint.) Be sure the service you choose records well and offers you playback features and the ability to download the recorded call (usually as an MP3 file). Lots of services out there both free and paid.
- FreeConferencePro - www.freeconferencepro.com
- FreeConferenceCall - www.freeconferencecall.com
Payment Systems and Shopping Carts:
- PayPal - You need a way to accept money online. You can setup a merchant account or look for an alternative online payment system, such as PayPal. You can integrate just the PayPal payment system with your own shopping cart or web site (blog or ezine) to accept payments online. Howver, PayPal also offers merchant services like a shopping cart service and subscription services. Note: It processes payments from credit cards, too, even when buyers do not have a PayPal account.
- Professional Cart Solutions - One of many privately branded versions of "1shoppingcart.com” with a user-friendly interface. Full autoresponders, product setup, order-taking, shipping cost calculations, affiliate system, client database and more. It's a full service ecommerce and online marketing shopping cart which is used by many of the online marketing pros.
Happy researching!
