Today is the International Day of Non-Violence. I think I'm a pretty non-violent person, so last night, I asked myself, " How do I honor this day?" And how do I honor the man who inspired it, Mahatma Gandhi?
Since I believe we co-create this life AND that our outer life is a reflection of our inner thoughts, feelings and mindset, I came up with a request of myself:
- To take things less personally today (as I speak to my teenagers, respond to emails, stretch out of my comfort zone and create a new series of higher-ticket products and programs.)
- To check in with all my "random" thoughts and be very kind to myself. (And I woke this morning with a wild thought of angst and immediately set to work - I have a lovely mantra running now!)
- To move in flow with my day following the path that unfolds (replacing the "gotta get it done" perfectionist drive with "it shall be done/thy will be done" ease.)
So how will you live in celebration of today?
Outer Life
- Will you send energy to passing strangers?
- Will you smile to 10 extra people today?
- Will you make amends with someone?
- Will you give long, deep hugs to everyone you love within reach? (Boy, are my kids in for a surprise this morning!)
Inner Life
- Will you speak kindly to yourself?
- Will you bless yourself with time to rest and ponder the possibilities?
- Will you dare to stretch and grow into unknown territory following your dream?
Post a message and let us all know how you embraced yourself today.

Side Tidbit:
Mahatma means "Great Soul", and was first applied to Gandhi by Rabindranath Tagore - Nobel Laureate for Literature, social reformer, amazingly prolific song writer and poet. I quote him on a series of bookmarks I created for myself and for my Priestess Walk group:
"Let me not pray
to be sheltered from dangers
but to be fearless in facing them.
Let me not beg for the stilling of my pain
but for the heart to conquer it."
~ Rabindranath Tagore
This helped at a time when my life was in a bit of upheaval, emotionally and physically.

Good work and keep up
