1) TweetDeck is a better interface for using Twitter than the standard Twitter web site. While replying is a copy and paste affair on the Twitter site, it's a click of a button within TweetDeck. And you can create a sub-group of people you want to follow more closely - narrowing down the hundreds to just the 30 or so you are currently partnering and working with. A very nice option.
Your Twitter stream is organized into 3 or more columns. You can more easily view information like:
- Tweets from folks you are following.
- Replies from people who list your username anywhere in their post - ex. @maiyarose
- Direct Messages,
- Member Profiles,
- Your Group, and
- Twitter Searches

2) TweetLater - helps you setup a series of posts that will automatically be Tweeted for you at the date and time you choose. You could use this for standard information you want to share. Yet I do recommend that you DO NOT use it as your sole communication on Twitter. After all, the art of twitter is the opportunity to converse with others and build real relationships with them.
TweetLater also lets you automatically send a direct mail message thanking folks who choose to follow you. It's helpful when your following list grows too quickly for you to send out individual thank you notes.

Note: That some folks do not like getting random DM's, so be professional with these.

3) Twitter Grader calculates a grade for your Twitter account. You'll find out how you fair when ranked next to 1.6 million others. (Note: when I joined just before Valentine's day, there were 1.3 million - wow!)
You receive a rating out of a a total possible 100 points. You'll also learn your rank within Twitter as a whole or within specific categories/keywords. Okay - this may be purely an ego thing, yet it did help me search for people to follow in categories I care most about.

Thank you for connecting with me too. Watch out for Twitter Grader - it can be addicting :-)
Check out their recommendation list - it seems to be more and more personalized to me. (Does anyone know if that's possible?) I've found some more cool tweeple there to connect with.
